Our teaching method is as follows:

Instead of a student concentrating on learning songs or lead guitar riffs etc. from the moment they pick up their guitar, the way we teach, is to work with our students, to help them to acquire technique on the guitar.

You may understand from looking in a guitar instruction book, exactly what the teacher is asking you to play.

Because you have just picked up a guitar for the first time, you do not have the technique to play, what you are being asked to play.

The reason that most students give up within the first six months, is because they discover that they cannot play, what they are being asked to play, by the teacher, who has written a book, or is teaching on a DVD.

They say such things as “I gave up because I discovered I didn’t have any natural talent for the guitar”.

The simple truth is if you have no technique you will never be able to play the guitar!

This fact is so incredibly obvious you would expect that every teaching book and CD, or teaching DVD, would make the teaching of technique the priority.

The point is, it does not make any difference how much music theory you know, or even if you can see from a chord diagram or a scale diagram, exactly where to put your fingers on a guitar!
